Tornadoes edge Truckers by two strokes

Andrew Branson birdied his last hole of the day Monday at Mohawk Country Club to card a 39, helping Columbian slip past Sandusky Bay Conference Lake Division foe Norwalk, 170-172.

Trevor McCarthy shot a 42 for TC (3-0), while Griffin Bunting added a 44 and Greg Gase finished with a 45. Brenton Brown also shot a 45 and Collin Anway ended with a 51.

Zach Crane led Norwalk with a 41. Kyle Smith fired a 43 and Carter Kluding and Noah Scheel shot twin 44s.

Calvert handles New Riegel

Dominic Mangiola’s 40 led Calvert Monday to a 178-197 Sandusky Bay Conference victory over New Riegel at Seneca Hills.

Backing Mangiola for Calvert was Brayden Thomas with a 43, Jacob Kin with a 47 and Maddy Brown shot a 48. Braeden Elchert (51) and Will Klepper (56).

Sam Whipple led the Blue Jackets with a 46, while they also got a 48 from Jacob Theis, a 49 from Carson Whipple and a 54 from Eric Theis. Brandon Seifert and Ethan Pahl shot twin 56s.

Two 41s lead Clyde

past Bellevue

CLYDE — Logan Smiley and Grant Reese shot twin 41s Monday at Green Hills to lead Clyde past Sandusky Bay Conference Lake Division rival Bellevue, 169-197.

Ryder Gamerstfelder added a 42 and Max Yates shot a 47 for the Fliers. Ben Hohenstein had a 47 and Tyler Dearth ended with a 53.

For Bellevue, Connor Rospert had a 46, while Alex Martinez carded a 48, Layne Krupp added a 49 and Garrett Vickery finished with a 54. Jackson Moyer (56) and Zach Eskins (62) also played.

Red Devils dump

Chieftains, Redskins

ARLINGTON — Hopewell-Loudon scored 199 Monday, but it wasn’t enough as Arlington topped the Chieftains with a 188.

Arcadia shot a 200 at Sycamore Springs.

Brayden Bushong led everyone with a 39 for the Red Devils, while Will Bushong had a 45 and Austin Rausch and Exwan Martin finished with 52s.

Kiley Cline registered a 48 for H-L, while Cody Balliet and Mayne Myers shot twin 50s and Owen Schumm carded a 51. Luke Graham (53) and Devin Falter (55) also competed.

Casey Cramer’s 46 led the Redskins, while they also got a 49 from Wyatt Lucas, a 50 from Will Recker and a 55 by Joel Liinger.

TC sinks Sailors

VERMILION — Ava Sarka fired a 48 Monday to lead Columbian to a 208-237 Sandusky Bay Conference Lake Division win over Vermilion.

Taylor Losey was right behind her with a 49 for TC (2-2), while Meredith Obringer had a 54 and Tyler Ward finished with a 57.

Kennedy Hughes led Vermilion with a 49. It also got a 58 by Reilly Messer, a 61 from Wren Wilfing and a 69 by Marley McCauley.

Bucks take down Rams

UPPER SANDUSKY — Lexi Biglin’s 47 helped Buckeye Central down Upper Sandusky 194-202 in Northern 10 Athletic Conference play at Lincoln Hills.

Liz Heydinger and Layne Vernderpool shot twin 48s and Alli Stahl carded a 51. Madi Deisch (55) and Beth Cronau (63) also competed.

The medalist was Upper Sandusky’s (1-4) Katie Clark with a 46, while Katie Conley fired a 48, Grace Sayre shot a 52 and Olivia Barth ended with a 56.

Forehand’s 38 lifts Tigers

Jake Forehand fired a 38 to lead Seneca East past Colonel Crawford 167-217 at Clinton Heights in Northern 10 Athletic Conference action. Backing Forehand was Turner Bridgford with a 41, while Andrew Kalb and Andy Bauman shot twin 42s. Jon Margraf shot a 45 and Blake Miller finished with a 51.

AJ Johnson led the Eagles with a 41.

Rams remain perfect

NEW WASHINGTON — No Brett Montgomery, no problem.

Upper Sandusky took care of Buckeye Central 167-184 at Cranberry Hills Monday in Northern 10 Athletic Conference play.

Trevor Clifford carded a 39 to lead the Rams (6-0, 2-0 N10), while Evan Young tacked on a 40, Benjamin Latham shot a 43 and Owen Knapp finished with a 45. Isaiah Washburn (47) and Gavin Carey (49) also played.

For the Bucks, they got a 40 from Adam Krebs, a 47 from Jarod Mason, a 48 by Tyler Rose and a 49 from Nick Fike.
