Lakota’s Dull delivers 36 in Raiders’ victory

FREMONT — Kyleigh Dull shot seven strokes better than anyone else Wednesday in a match between Lakota and New Riegel at Sycamore Hills.

The Raiders’ standout fired a 36, helping Lakota to a 167-198 win over New Riegel.

Jayden Bonnell had a 43 for the Raiders, while Ethan Longoria and Connor Hill each had a 44.

For New Riegel, Jakob Theis registered a 45, and Brandon Seifert had a 47.

The Raider improved to 8-1, 7-1 in the Sandusky Bay Conference River division. New Riegel fell to 1-7.

Wynford tops Bucks

NEW WASHINGTON — Abby Underwood had a match-best 49, and Wynford upended Buckeye Central Wednesday, 225-233.

The Bucks’ best score came from Leah Vanderpool, who had a 56. It was two shots better than teammate Alli Stahl, and three better than Lexi Biglin.

Kassidy Stanford added a 57 for the Royals.

Tanner strong for Carey

NEW WASHINGTON — Ethan Tanner was just four over par at Cranberry Hills Wednesday, putting up a 40 and leading Carey to a 174-180 win.

Tanner started with three pars, and then sandwiched a birdie and par around a bogey to finish. Brayden Miller had a 42 for the Blue Devils, and Kole Phillips added a 44.

Every Carey golfer shot in the 40s, with McKain Miller scoring a 48 and Dylan Grothaus and Carter Frederick each had a 49.

Adam Krebs led the Bucks with a 41, and Nic Ratliff had a 44 and Tyler Rose had a 49.

Ashland blanks Tornadoes’ tennis

Columbian had a tough time with Ashland in Wednesday’s tennis match, falling 5-0.

In the first singles match, the Arrows’ Korinne Harris got past Calvert’s Casey Knutson, 6-0, 6-0. At second singles, Ashland’s Lydia Sinchok topped Anna Stephey 6-0, 6-1, while in the final singles match, Jenna Shambre upended Columbian’s Lines Boos, 6-3, 6-3.

In doubles play, Ashland’s No. 1 team of Leah Miller and Laura Slabaugh got past Alexis Smith and Erin Musil, 6-2, 6-1. In the other doubles match, Columbian’s duo of Morgan Amory and Whitney Johnson lost a 6-2, 6-1 match to Ashland’s Maddie Moore and Chloe Watson.
