Stockaders find rhythm vs. Danbury

LAKESIDE — Five Old Fort players scored in double figures and the Stockaders’ offense picked up after the first quarter Saturday en route to beating Danbury 63-45.

Danbury led 12-9 at the first stop, but the Stockaders (9-2) used a 15-8 burst in the second quarter for a 24-20 halftime edge before erupting for a 24-10 surge in the third period.

Eric Bell led the winners with 15 points and eight rebounds. Hootie Cleveland added 13 points and five steals. Jacob Hammond tossed in 11 points and A.J. Baker and Jacob Webb both netted 10.

Luke Wagner chipped in six assists for Old Fort.

Redmen dominate early, flatten Fliers

BELLEVUE — Bellevue dominated the first half Saturday en route to beating Clyde 71-55.

The Redmen led 38-21 by intermission and cruised from there.

Jake Waskielis and Owen Hartley both scored 17 points for Bellevue, Ben Smith netted nine and Trey Ruhlman added eight.

The Fliers got 10 points each from Tanner Davenport and Brock Newsome, nine points from Seth Hohman and eight apiece from Conner Long and Jaylan Johnson.

Wynford clips Bucks

BUCYRUS — Wynford outscored Buckeye Central 13-11 in the fourth quarter to force overtime, then nosed out the Bucks 8-7 from there Saturday for a 51-50 Northern 10 Athletic Conference victory.

Jack Reed sparked the Royals (5-6, 5-3 N10) with 15 points, Zach Hoffman had 13 points and three steals and Caleb Rausch tallied eight points and six rebounds.

Jacob Shade’s 29 points and 12 rebounds for the Bucks (3-5, 5-7) led everyone.

FHS spreads the wealth in win over Mohawk

SYCAMORE — Three Fostoria players scored in double digits and Alex Sierra nearly added a double-double Friday as the Redmen beat Mohawk 55-43.

Jayden Stanton scored 12 points for Fostoria, Dae’mier Johnson netted 11 and Aneas Cousin tossed in 10.

Sierra backed them with nine points and nine rebounds, with Johnson hauling in seven boards. Ryan Phillips and Johnson both snared four steals and Jordyn Bunley had three.
