Fliers notch 17th win

CLYDE – Clyde dropped just one match Tuesday as the Fliers rolled past Fremont Ross 4-1 in non-league play.

In singles play, Iga Makal beat Olivia Henry 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1, while Melissa Laconis topped Alyssa Meyer 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 and Maddie St. Marie defeated Kaity Kelly by the same score at No. 3.

The No. 2 doubles team of Alicia Klohn and Bree Dowling beat Ross’ Natalie Brown and Mijara Quick 6-4, 6-3.

The Little Giants’ lone win came at No. 1 doubles as Lily Abdoo and Gillian Gallagher topped Addie Martin and Alayna Barrera 4-6, 7-5, 10-6.

The Fliers are 17-1 this season.

Truckers run over Lady Red

BELLEVUE – Norwalk made quick work of Bellevue Tuesday as the Truckers swept Bellevue 5-0 in Northern Ohio League play.

In singles, Kaitlyn Stoll beat Chloe Brubaker 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1, while Brooke Fries beat Skylar Strunk 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 and Megan Berry topped Wyanna Schalk 6-0, 6-2 at No. 3.

The first Norwalk doubles duo of Rueanna Ramos and Mya Ray beat Elizabeth Harper and Jena Weider 6-1, 6-2, while the No. 2 doubles team of Anessa Berry and Jordan Green upended Emily Becks and Mackenna Peacock 6-1, 6-3.

Bellevue is 4-13 overall and 3-8 in the NOL.

Willard takes care of TC

Columbian won second doubles Tuesday, but it was all the Tornadoes walked away with as Willard topped TC 4-1 in a Northern Ohio League match.

In singles play, Jessica Beamer beat Brooke Smith 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1, Emma Moll topped Sophie Crist 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 and Carlee Gibson defeated Katie Smith 6-1, 6-3 at No. 3.

Willard’s first doubles duo of Addie Slone and Jo Brubaker defeated Eden Stephey and Brenna Saum 6-3, 6-4.

TC’s lone win came from the team of Gabbi Roszman and Olivia Kramer beating Aspen Schmidt and Claire Buss 6-4, 4-6, 10-3.

Rams hold off Senecas

Despite competing with Upper Sandusky and taking a singles match, the Rams proved too much for Calvert as the Rams won 4-1 at Heidelberg University.

Calvert’s lone win came at No. 1 singles as Laura Haley topped Sara Gier 6-3, 6-7, 10-4.

The rest of the wins belonged to the Rams (13-2). Paige Burger upended Devyn Warnement 6-3, 6-3 at No. 2 and Mady West bested Maria Welter 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3.

The No. 1 doubles team of Delaney McQuown and Sam Pryor beat Marie Brodman and Bradlee Warnement 6-1, 6-0 and Jodi and Mara Smalley defeated Elayna Kapelka and Maria Goshe 6-2, 6-7, 7-3 at No. 2.
