MEMORIAL BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT: The 4th annual Brady, Brandan and Clint Memorial Basketball Tournament is Sunday at the Tiffin Community YMCA. Registration is at noon and games begin at 1 p. m. It will be a 3-on-3 team format with one substitute per team. The tournament is double elimination with games going to 15 points. Fee is $25 per team and tournament t-shirts are $10. BASKETBALL: The Tiffin University women’s basketball team will host a kids camp for boys and girls ages 6-14 June 17-19 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. with the last day running 9 a.m.- noon. Price for the camp is $50 for one or $75 for two and includes a t-shirt. Campers are to bring their own lunch daily. There will be a fridge to place lunches in. Pizza will be available for $1.50 per slice. Registration form, insurance waiver and $20 deposit are due by June 6. Check-in is on June 17 at 8:15 a.m. at the Gillmor Student Center. GOLF: After the second week of play at Seneca Hills, the team of Ray Krupp and Gene Sherer are in first place in the Amvets Golf League. Prizes went to Ralph Kizer (closest in two on No. 1), Dick Gower (closest to pin on No. 6) and Gene Sherer (long putt on No. 8).

n In the Steyer Seed Scramble League, The team of Lou Brickner and Mike Thies lead with the low gross of 33. Prizes went to Len Goshe (long putt on No. 10), Ryan Huss (closest to pin on No. 11), Shawn Bloom (closest in two on No.13) and J.R. Coffman (long putt on No.15).

n The team of Tom Fate, Fred Smith, Harry Smith, Bill Powell and Skip Halcom tied with Chuck Wilbert, John Powell, Jack Snay and Butch Whipple at 7-under par in the Clinton Heights Senior Golf League. Prizes went to Halcom (closest to pin in one on No. 5), Phil Miller (closest to in two on No. 1), Ray Nutter (closest in three on No. 9) and Gary Kroeger (long putt on No. 7).

n After the first week in the Old Fort Ex-Hi Over 50 League, Dave Hoke leads with 21 points. Prizes went to Joe Lynch (long putt on No.1) and J.R. Coffman (closest in two on No.8).

n In the YMCA 2-man Scramble League at Seneca Hills, the team Brian Kern and Brian Hescht lead with 23 1/2 points. Prizes went to Fritz Smith (long drive on No. 17) and Robbie Clouse (closest to pin on No. 13).

n With one week remaining in the P.J. Brickhouse League at Loudon Meadows, Jeremy Schumm shot 42 for the low gross. Prize winners were Doug Tanner (closest to pin on No. 2) and John Schumm

BASEBALL: Hopewell-Loudon’s alumni baseball game is at 9 a.m. June 7.

5K MUD RUN: The Gillmor Community Park in Fort Seneca will host a 5k Mud Run on June 7. There will be an adult race at 10:30 a.m. and a kid’s race at noon. SOCCER: The Tiffin Soccer Club will hold a player placement and parent meeting day June 7. Players will be on field 9-10 a. m. with the parent meeting 10-10:30 a. m. This is for kids entering grades 6, 7 and 8 who want to play soccer this fall. The event will be held at Hidden Valley (within Hedges-Boyer Park). For more information visit

FUNDRAISER: KemoSabes Roadhouse Grill in Fostoria will host a fundraiser 11 a.m.-9 p.m. June 8 for Hopewell-Loudon sophomore wrestlers Damion Vitt and Alex Brock go to Walt Disney World Resort for the AAU Wrestling Scholastic Disney Duals. The wrestling event is June 26-July 1. They have been asked to join the Titan Wrestling Club out of Aurora. There will be a host of raffle items that you can purchase tickets to win.
