Prep Softball Roundup: Stockaders spread out offense in win over Cory-Rawson

OLD FORT – Three Old Fort players each scored twice Thursday as the Stockaders overpowered Cory-Rawson, 10-6.

Michaela Davidson, Shelby Bilger and Haili Kimmet each scored twice. Davidson doubled and singled, Bilger singled and drove in a run and Kimmet added two RBIs off two singles.

Alyssa Pence (2-5) struck out six, and added a run and two RBIs for the Stockaders (2-4).

Buckeye Central fires away in fifth

NEW WASHINGTON – Buckeye Central held a slight advantage over Sandusky St. Mary after the first inning, but a five-run outburst in the fifth sealed the 9-6 victory for the Buckettes.

Sierra Hanes lined a double to bring in a slew of teammates and tally four RBIs.

Maddie Boes was two of three from the plate while Morgan Wurm picked up the win (6-5).

Rams can’t rally back

UPPER SANDUSKY – Crestline forged a 6-2 lead, then held off Upper Sandusky from there Thursday for a 6-5 North Central Conference win.

The Rams rallied for three runs in the sixth to make it a one-run game, but couldn’t keep the momentum going.

Allie Smith took the loss.

Brigitte Snow scored three times, homered and singled for Upper Sandusky. Justeen Searfoss added a solo homer, Morgan Stansbery singled twice and Katie Taylor singled.

Vanlue downs Chieftains

BASCOM – Racquel Hossler had a stellar night but Vanlue proved too strong, beating Hopewell-Loudon, 5-2.

Hossler went 3 for 4 at the plate, which included two doubles.

Lauren Trumpler added a double and single for the Chieftains.

Kelsey Coppus took the loss.
