Girls Basketball Roundup: Rams keep on rolling

UPPER SANDUSKY – Taylor Graboski led four Upper Sandusky players in double-digit scoring Friday as the Rams thumped North Central Conference foe Ontario 61-46.

Graboski’s 13 points, nine rebounds and two blocks sparked the Rams.

Amber Cox and Allison Snyder both tossed in 11 points, with Cox adding seven boards and Snyder dishing six assists.

Jorden Born chipped in 10 points, eight rebounds and three blocks.

Emily Wood’s 25 points keyed the Warriors, but only one teammate scored more than four points, with none of them getting more than seven.

Comets bracket Redmen

GENOA – Genoa blanked Fostoria 10-0 in the first quarter, but had to rally in the fourth Friday to post a 48-34 Northern Buckeye Conference win.

Fostoria (0-13, 0-6 NBC) outscored the Comets 27-19 over the middle periods to trail just 29-27, but Genoa used a 19-7 burst in the fourth to seal the victory.

Haley Pickard netted nine of her game-high 21 points in the fourth quarter for the Comets, and Ciara Albright and Selina Peer both ended with seven.

Erica Moore’s 11 points led FHS, with Kierra Settles scoring nine and Jada Hampton tossing in eight.
