JV GIRLS BASKETBALL: Carey nipped Wynford, 40-38.

BIDDY WRESTLING: In the Seneca East Biddy Wrestling Tournament Sunday, Calvert’s John Schumacher finished first in the Division 0 51-pound weight class, while Ethan Sauber took second in the Division I 57-pound class. Drew Aigler finished fourth in the Division 0 45-pound class, while Anthony Felter (Division I, 68 pounds) and Jackson Seislove (Division II, 72 pounds) also finished fourth.

n In the Gene Kimmet Memorial Tournament, Calvert’s Drew Aigler took first in the Division 0, 40-pound weight class, while Brad Wellman took second. In the 57-pound weight class, John Schumacher took first, Taleb Al-Zakwani took second and Logan DeMoss took fourth. In Division I, Max Paul took first in the 65-pound weight class, while Ethan Saubler took third, Anthony Felter fourth and Dylan Stephens fifth. Ryan Fox took sixth. In the 85-pound weight class, Ethan Parkins took third, while in Division II, Jackson Seislove took first, while in Division III, Austin Wagner took first.

COLLEGE WRESTLING: Tiffin University freshman Mike Scraptock finished runner up at 133 pounds at the Purple Raider Open in Alliance. Scraptock went 3-1 at the tournament. Also for the Dragons, 125-pounder Steven Pastor finished sixth, while Garrett Gray took sixth.

JUNIOR HIGH BOYS BASKETBALL: In the Midland Athletic League Tournament, Mohawk’s seventh grade beat Lakota, 39-24. Ian Pursell had 10 points for the Warriors, while Tyler Tusing added 10. Cole Miller had six for Mohawk.

JUNIOR HIGH WRESTLING: Calvert participated the the Catholic Invitational Tournament in Columbus, coming away with three placers. Connor Kwiat took fifth in the 116-pound weight class, Andrew Brodman took sixth in the 172-pound class, while Nick Maury won the 245-pound class.
