Satan: The real enemy

I write about the corruption of the church. I have seen much pain and people’s faith shaken. However, we as Christians need to remember the enemy is not the church, it’s not even these corrupt priests, it’s Satan. Satan is the real enemy.

And what was the promise of Christ? Christ said he would build his church and the gates of hell would not prevail against it. More than that, let’s flip the coin; what would happen if all the good ministers and good people left the church and only the evil ones remained?

Christ didn’t say run away and let evil win. Christ said, “Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I came to set man against father and daughter against her mother … a man’s enemies will be the members of his household.”

Bring a true Christian means being able to praise Christ’s name even as the darkness falls around you and it seems all hope is lost.

It’s when things are at their darkest that we need to cry to him the most and give him the glory. What we need to do is stay in the church and fight the evil, fight to cleanse the church of evil, fight to make it the way Christ intended it to be. Praise glory, honor, power and riches be our lord and king, Jesus Christ, forever.
