Human life is sacred

Once again, Jan. 22 marks the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the legalization of abortion in the United States 45 years ago. Our country has lost more than 60 million unborn babies to the tragedy of abortion.

Do these numbers ever really touch our souls, or is it only an anniversary that we pass over with little or no thought? Each of those numbers is a baby; a life created by God with a purpose only he or she could have fulfilled and, in living, would have enriched the world with their special gift. How can we not see that this is life, the greatest gift of God. Please take a moment and really think of these lost children. If your heart is touched by this enormous loss of life, love and gifts to family and society, please say a prayer in remembrance of these precious children. Say a prayer of love and healing for their mothers, fathers and families.

Look with an open heart at how our beloved country is fractured and injured by denying the value of each person, born and unborn. Abortion is not freedom to choose, it is moral blindness to the reality that each life is priceless and irreplaceable. Abortion leaves wounds that only God can heal. Human life is sacred!

In 2nd Chronicles 7:14, God says, “If my people who are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
