Euchre tourney trumps cancer
Team Because of You would like to thank everyone who supported our euchre tournament fundraiser to benefit Relay For Life.

A special thanks to the Green Springs VFW Post 6067 for allowing the use of its hall for our euchre tournament and for making a monetary donation to our team.

We wish to extend a sincere thank you to our local communities for supporting the annual Palm Sunday dinner and Easter egg hunt April 13 at Seneca County Opportunity Center.
We want to thank the staff, families, friends, organizations and clubs who volunteered to assist us in making this a successful event.
A special thanks to all the generous donors. Only with their generosity could we have made it a memorable event.
Raffle prizes were awarded to Gene Schoen, Ashley Houdenshild and Andrea Blankenship.

To the rescue
It was Thursday afternoon before Good Friday at 4 o’clock. I had just finished washing the pickup, ran it into the garage, put the door down and “bang,” the spring broke. I called the party that installed the garage door some years ago and evidently the business was sold and was told they were leaving for Florida for a week. I asked who I might call. He gave me the number of Lucius Door Co. A pleasant lady’s voice came on the phone. I told her my problem and she told me hold a minute; she came back on and said, “Give me a few minutes and I will get back with you.” I gave her my address and phone number. She called back shortly and said, “There will be a service man there in an hour.” By 5:15, a new spring was on the door and the service man was on his way. That’s the American way! But you can imagine that today I wasn’t one of their customers.
