Lawrence M. ‘Larry’ Koch
Lawrence M. “Larry” Koch, 67, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday afternoon, April 14, 2019, at The Cleveland Clinic.
He was born Oct. 6, 1951, in Tiffin, to Samuel and Anna Mae (Hushour) Koch. He married Bonnie Gibson April 10, 2002.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie of Tiffin; mother, Anna Mae McClintock of Tiffin; son, Jason (Jaimie) Risner of Forrest; daughters, Jaime (Brandon) Chambers of Mansfield, Julie (Jason) Coleman of Bascom, Jessica (Cory) Decker and Joni Koch both of Tiffin; sister, Peggy Jacobs of Tiffin; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Richard Koch; and sisters, Ruth Hart and Lynn Renninger.
Larry graduated from Mohawk High School in 1969. He was a self-employed carpenter. He will be remembered, as a kind and gentle person who never met a stranger and loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Larry was known to drink a few beers with his friends at Walnut Grove and Island View Campgrounds, and was an Ohio State, Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Cavaliers and even a Browns fan.
Friends may visit and share stories with the family 5 p.m. until the time of the service Thursday, April 18, 2019, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, Tiffin.
His funeral will begin at 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home with the Rev. Curt Gallmeyer officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
