Virginia J. Caudill
Virginia J. Caudill, 80, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018, at her home in Carey with her daughters, Teresa and Tina, and granddaughters, Amanda and JJ, by her side.
Ginny was born July 13, 1935, in Crawford County, to Ernie and Grace (Hamlin) Risner. She married Charles H. Caudill Oct. 9, 1954.
She is survived by five daughters, Beverly Sharp of New Riegel, Sherri (John) Devor of Mount Blanchard, Debra (James) Foster of McCutchenville, Tina at home and Teresa (Gene) Dible of Carey; four grandchildren, Gary (Cindy) Foster, Crystal (Scott) Brown-Craig, Dustin (Jenny) Rhodes and Amanda Rhodes; 12 great-grandchildren, Skye, Caitlin, Parker, Gracelynne, Gwendolyn, Baily, Brittany, Isabella, Iziaha, Blake, Tristen and Jaylynne; and two brothers, Terry (Carol) Risner and Ernest Hoover.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Timothy; five brothers, Milo, Monroe, Derry, Kenneth and Paul; and two sisters, Roxy Bowling and Donna Jean Thaxton.
Ginny loved her family and enjoyed Sunday dinners every week after church. She and her husband took many trips around the country. Ginny worked in health care all her life. She was mother to many of her nieces and nephews after losing their parents. Ginny was a member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Church of God, Carey.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, 2018, at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey.
A celebration of her life will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018, at Lighthouse Pentecostal Church of God, Carey, with the Rev. William Joseph Turner officiating. Burial will be in Seneca Memory Gardens with a dinner to follow at the church.
