Robert ‘Bob’ Sears II
Robert “Bob” Sears II, 63, formerly of Fremont, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018, at his home in Coldwater, Michigan.
He was born Oct. 26, 1954, in Parma, to Robert and Dorothy (Goodrich) Sears. Bob married Karla Parsell in Las Vegas in 2002, and she survives.
Also surviving are his daughter, Melinda Sears of Fostoria; three stepchildren, Stephanie Sherman, Samantha Sauber and David Sauber Jr.; eight grandchildren, John, Crissy, Riley, Xzaviour, Taylor, Cecilia, DaMonee and Montavious; a great-grandchild, Emerson; and a brother, James (Shelia) Sears.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Rosemary Sears; a daughter, Melanie Sears; and a brother, William Sears.
Bob was a 1972 graduate of Mid Park High School and then he attended Cleveland State University. He worked as a Kroger manager for more than 40 years until his retirement in 2014. Bob was a member of St. Casmir’s Church and Knights of Columbus. Bob loved to go out and ride his Harley-Davidson. He enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers. Bob retired to the cottage on the lake in Michigan where he enjoyed boating and fishing, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandkids and family.
Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2018, at Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont.
His funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2018, at the funeral home where there will be an additional hour of visitation prior to the start of the service. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
