John A. Wise

John A. Wise, 67, of 3621 CH 35, Sycamore, died at 9:17 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, in the emergency room at Wyandot Memorial Hospital, Upper Sandusky.

He was born Feb. 27, 1950, to Delbert and Eileen (Williams) Wise. He married Suzanne (Donaldson) Wise and they later divorced. He then married Sandy (Latham) Wise Oct. 18, 2013, and she survives.

Surviving are four children, Janelle Wise of Fostoria, Amy Wise of Toledo, Keith Zeigler of Upper Sandusky and Kurtus Zeigler of Sycamore; one granddaughter, Arraya Daniels; one great-niece, Avery Babcock; one brother, Gerald (Ruth) Wise of Wayne; and a sister-in-law, Geneen Wise.

John was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Delbert Wise.

He was a retired furnace fireman having worked 40 years for the former Union Carbide, Fostoria, where he also was a former union president. John was a 1968 graduate of Elmwood High School and former 4-H adviser for Sunset Saddlers. For hobbies, he loved to go coon hunting, go to auctions, go to garden tractor pulls and enjoyed having coffee every morning at Fillmore Pharmacy, Sycamore. He also loved spending time with his granddaughter and great-niece.

The funeral for John will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017, at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, with the Rev. Matt Garrabrant officiating.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017, at the funeral home.
