LaMar C. Gardner
LaMar C. Gardner, 89, of Fremont, died Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, at his home.
He was born Aug. 21, 1927, in rural Vickery, to the late Charles V. and Mary L. (Carnicom) Gardner. LaMar was a retired Army veteran.
He is survived by his three children, L. Grant (Darlene) Gardner, Janet (George) Broske and Charles W. (Ramona) Gardner; six grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; six great-stepgrandchildren; and a brother, Wayne (Dee) Gardner.
LaMar also was preceded in death by his wife, Edna M. (Jacops) Gardner.
His funeral will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, at Grace Community Church, Fremont, with the Rev. Forest Kirchenbauer officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, with military rites provided by Clyde VFW and American Legion.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Tuesday, at Mitchel-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main, Clyde.
