Lois M. (Jump) Rowe

On March 12, 2014, Lois M. (Jump) Rowe, 89, of Baldwinsville, N.Y., passed away peacefully in the loving hands of her family.

Lois was raised in her beloved Tiffin and always loved to share her many memories of her youth there. Lois spent most of her life in Baldwinsville and worked in retail sales, primarily around the Baldwinsville and Fulton areas. She and her husband, Gus, worked side by side every day, first at Richman Brothers Clothing, then at Rowe’s Men’s Wear and The Princess Shoppe. The stores were located in Fulton and moved to the Tri County Mall, Baldwinsville, where the couple worked until Gus retired. Lois then worked for many years at the Best Kept Secrets store in Baldwinsville before she retired to care for Gus. The love they had for each other was second to none. The love Lois had for her family and friends was never-ending. She loved to watch her kids and grandkids be involved in all of their activities.

She frequently spoke of how proud she was during her school days to be a bugle player in the award-winning Columbian High School Girl’s Drum and Bugle Corps of Tiffin. Lois’ proudest memories always were about her family. She was the youngest of 10 siblings, eight brothers and two sisters. She was Aunt Lois to many of her older nieces and nephews. Lois would always say one thing held a family together like hers, LOVE. She loved all.

Lois was predeceased by her beloved husband of more than 60 years, Gus Rowe.

Surviving are her four kids, Max Jumper (Jeanne) Kennesaw of Georgia, Doug (Royetta) Rowe of Baldwinsville, N.Y., David (Patty) Rowe of Dunedin, Fla., and Beth (Steve) Amisano of Medford, N.J.; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

The family plans a service for both Lois and Gus to take place later in the spring.

All prayers and well wishes have been greatly appreciated.

The family would like to thank all the loving staff of both the Francis House (www.francishouseny.org) and Hospice of Central NY (www.hospicecny.org/donate) Programs. They are two of the warmest, loving programs one can be involved with when a loved one is in need. We hope that everyone will consider contributing to both.
