Dana B. ‘Dusty’ Kidwell
Dana B. “Dusty” Kidwell, 61, of Tiffin, died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, from a sudden illness.
He was born Nov. 5, 1952, in Bucyrus, the son of Wayne W. and Ethel Goldie (Keckler) Kidwell. He was married to Theresa Drake and Virginia Rawlins.
Surviving are eight children, Patrick Anderson, Dana (Michele) Kidwell, Josh Kidwell, John Kidwell, William “Billy” Kidwell, Tim (Melissa) Kidwell, Vincent Kidwell and Dylan Kidwell, all of Tiffin; 27 grandchildren; three brothers, Wendell (Barb) Kidwell of Valrico, Fla., Dennis (Deb) Kidwell and Jody Kidwell, both of Tiffin; one sister, Virginia (Joseph) Ward of Tiffin; two half brothers, William Cole of Oklahoma and Gary (Carolyn) Cole of Upper Sandusky; and one half sister, Donna Crawford of Upper Sandusky.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Kevin Kidwell; and a half brother, James Cole.
Dana worked for Tuttle Construction all over Ohio. He was a member of Union 574 Laborers International Union of North America. He was of the Methodist faith. Dana enjoyed fishing, hunting and sports. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey.
His funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11 at the funeral home with Pastor Penny Magee officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey.
