Marietta Dyer, 74, of Carey, died Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.
She was born March 21, 1939, in Salyersville, Ky., to Chalie and Sina (Conley) Tackett. She married Arthur Dyer April 30, 1955, and he preceded her in death Jan. 11, 1994.
Surviving are five children, Brenda (Michael) Hendricks of Toledo, Linda (Russell) Eborg of Tiffin, Donovan Dyer and Dwight (Josephine) Dyer, both of Carey, and David Dyer of Upper Sandusky; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; one brother, Charles (Linda) Tackett of Carey; and two sisters, Junie (Myron) Wilcox of Findlay and Bonnie (Leland) Wells of Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Duane Dyer; a grandson; a brother, Homer Tackett; and a sister, Helen Pickleshimer.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2013, at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey and one hour prior to the funeral at the church.
Her funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Carey First Free Will Baptist Church, Carey, with the Rev. Brent Layne officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey, where there will also be a committal service of her son, Duane’s ashes.
