Joe Frasure, 82, of Findlay, died Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.
He was born Sept. 14, 1930, in Bonanza, Ky., to Luther and Alice (Spradlin) Frasure. He married Florence “Liz” Lauterbur Dec. 18, 1965, and she survives in Findlay.
Also surviving are five children, Joe A. (Heather) Frasure of Findlay, Jennifer Lee (Tom) Hovest of Ottawa and Linda Hallowell, Vicki (Phil) Neikirk and Diane (Jeff) Huffman, all of Tiffin; a brother, Howard (Annie) Frazier of Tiffin; a sister, Wilma (Jim) Ellis of Macomb, Mich.; two half brothers, Wilburn (Meredith) Frasure of Texas City, Texas, and Wayne (Deb) Frasure of Carey; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchidlren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; step mother, Ollie Frasure; a granddaughter; a brother, Clyde Frazier; four half brothers, Willard, Willis, Wilkie and Willie Frasure; and two sisters, Dixie Hackworth and Ethel Hackworth.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War.
Visitation is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, March 24, at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey.
His funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. William Schultz officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey, where military graveside rites will be conducted by Carey Honor Guard.
