Margaret ‘Peg’ Snyder
Margaret “Peg” Snyder, 77, of Tiffin, died at 11:15 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at the home of her son, William Snyder’s house.
Peg was born June 30, 1935, in Bloomville, to the late Gerald and Margaret (Stuckey) Creeger. She married William Snyder Aug. 15, 1953, and they later divorced. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include her three children, Vickie (Tim) Craft of Pataskala, William (Mary) Snyder of Tiffin and Wendy (Bob Jones) Malone of Bascom; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; a half-brother, Gerald “Dude” (Brenda) Creeger of Kansas; and two sisters, Donna (Vernon) Schubert of Republic and Gloria (Don) Snyder of Bowling Green.
Peg was preceded in death by her parents and her Boston terrier, Mollie.
Peg was a retired school bus driver for Tiffin City Schools and a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Tiffin. Peg was also a member of the Tiffin Eagles, Moose and was a volunteer for the Red Cross. Peg enjoyed traveling, bowling and watching the Cleveland Indians and Browns. Peg was a 1953 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School.
A memorial service for Peg will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church with Pastor Hannah Tucker officiating. There will be no visitation at this time. Burial will be at a later date at Seneca Memory Gardens. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home and Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Financial Assistance for Cancer Treatment, Community Hospice Care or to the Seneca County Humane Society.
