Woman injured in accident with four-wheeler
A woman was injured when her vehicle struck an unoccupied four-wheeler on West TR 96 Wednesday night.
Deputy Keegan Walter of Seneca County Sheriff’s Office said Cheryl Schalk, 62, of Alvada, was traveling west in a 2013 Subaru. A four-wheeler was parked facing west, partially on the road, he said.
Walter said Schalk didn’t see the four-wheeler and her Subaru struck the four-wheeler, pushing it into the ditch. He said Roger Hoepf, 63, of New Riegel, was off the four-wheeler and was looking for a pair of glasses in the ditch.
Schalk was transported by NBS EMS District to Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital, Walter said. He said he did not believe her injuries were life-threatening.
Walter said Hoepf was to be cited with ATV on roadway.
The accident was reported at 9:12 p.m. and NBS EMS District, NBS Fire District, the Echo unit and Seneca County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.
