Another construction worker injured in fall

FOSTORIA — Another construction worker at Fostoria City Schools’ building project fell Thursday morning.

Lt. Cory Gregg of Fostoria Fire Division said the man fell about 8 or 9 feet, and he did not know what he was trying to do. The man was inside the building when he fell, he said.

Gregg said the man was transported by Fostoria Fire Division to ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital. He said he was not sure what injuries the man had.

The man was conscious at the scene, and it appeared his injuries were non-life-threatening, Gregg said.

He said he did not know the man’s name Thursday evening.

The incident was reported at 8:07 a.m.

Jan. 15, a construction worker at Fostoria City Schools’ building project fell off a roof.

Chief Brian Herbert of Fostoria Fire Division had said the man fell about 15-18 feet, and he thought the man was trying to set a ladder.

Herbert said Life Flight was not flying, and the man was taken by Fostoria Fire Division to ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital. He said the man was conscious at the scene, and it appeared his injuries were not life-threatening.
