3 hurt in CR 591 accident

Three people were hurt when a car struck a pole on CR 591 near US 224 Tuesday morning.

Laci K. Woolf, 22, of Carey, was driving a 2015 Kia Forte north on CR 591. She said an unknown vehicle was passing, heading south, and forced the car off the road, Deputy Denny Wilkinson of Seneca County Sheriff’s Office said.

The car struck a telephone pole on the east side of the road.

Woolf and passengers Tiffany Yonts, 23, of Carey, and Todd M. Rumschlag Jr., 35, of Fostoria, all were wearing seatbelts and were taken by Bascom EMS to Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Wilkinson said.

Woolf was cited with failure to control, he said.

Personnel from Bascom EMS, Bascom Joint Fire District, the county’s Echo unit and Seneca County Sheriff’s Office were sent to the scene at 10:20 a.m.
