Two from area hurt in car-cycle collision

Two people were thrown from a motorcycle in an accident in Hancock County’s Marion Township Sunday afternoon.

Chris Ziegler, 54, of McCutchenville, was driving a 2018 Harley-Davidson Road King motorcycle east on US 224 with a passenger, Tammy Browning, 51, of Sycamore.

Donald Kendrick, 87, of Findlay, was driving a 2003 Lincoln Continental north on TR 237, a release from the Findlay post of State Highway Patrol states.

The release states Kendrick failed to yield at a stop sign and was struck in the side by the motorcycle.

It states Ziegler and Browning, who were not wearing helmets, were thrown from the motorcycle. They had serious but non-life-threatening injuries and were taken by Hanco EMS to Blanchard Valley Hospital, it states.

The release states Kendrick was wearing a seatbelt and refused treatment at the scene. He was cited with safe assured clear distance ahead.
