One injured in North Washington Street accident

A man was injured in an accident on North Washington Street Friday afternoon.

Sgt. Robert Bour of Tiffin Police Department said Christopher D. Ziegler, 48, of Bloomville, was traveling south on North Washington Street in a 2011 Dodge Ram 3500, went off the right side of the road and struck two unoccupied parked cars, a 2017 Jeep Renegade and a 2014 Toyota Camry. It was suspected the driver had a medical issue that caused him to lose control of his vehicle, he said.

Bour said Ziegler was transported by Tiffin Fire Rescue Division to Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Ziegler was cited with failure to control and no seatbelt, he said.

Traffic on North Washington Street was slowed to one-lane while crews worked at the scene.

The accident was reported at 1:09 p.m. and Tiffin Fire Rescue Division, Tiffin Police Department, John’s Welding and Towing and Danner’s Towing & Recycling responded to the scene.
