Man’s condition remains critical

A Tiffin man injured in an accident Friday afternoon remained in critical condition Saturday, according to a ProMedica Toledo Hospital spokeswoman.

Ryan Bintz, 34, was a passenger in a Ford Ranger involved in a three-vehicle accident on SR 12 west of Fostoria Friday afternoon, according to a Findlay post of State Highway Patrol release. He was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident and was transported by Washington Township EMS to ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital and was later transported to ProMedica Toledo Hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries.

The release states the accident occurred when a Ford Windstar driven by Joseph Heibeck, 31, of Fostoria, struck a Ford Ranger driven by Brenton Hurt, 33, of Tiffin, which then was pushed into a Chevrolet Trailblazer, driven by Heather Hickle, 32, of Fostoria.

Hurt, Heibeck and other passengers in the Ford Windstar, Kimberly Lambert, 33; Isabella Heibeck, 1; Catrina Dunn, 27; and Teresa Glover, 51, all of Fostoria, were transported to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, the release states. Another passenger in the Ranger, Alberto Gutierrez, 27, of Tiffin, and Hickle were not injured.
