Ritz offers matinee
“Judgement at Nuremberg” is to be shown at 2 p.m. today at The Ritz Theatre, 30 S. Washington St.
Tickets are $3. The season’s matinee movie series is “Close, but No Cigar,” featuring some of the greatest actresses never to win an Academy Award for Best Actress.
It has been years since the most important Nazi leaders had been tried. This trial is about four judges who used their offices to conduct Nazi sterilization and cleansing policies. Retired American judge Dan Haywood has a daunting task ahead of him. The Cold War is heating up and no one wants more trials, as Germany and allied governments want to forget the past. But is that the right thing to do?

Kiwanis Club to host holiday parade
Tiffin Kiwanis Club is to host the holiday parade at 11 a.m. Dec. 2 in downtown Tiffin.
The parade is to form at St. Joseph’s Church and move north on Washington Street, then disband at the Washington Street bridge.
Kiwanis asks that only one Santa Claus be in the parade. Entries are to be emailed to d_roszman
Earn Chamber Cash while celebrating the holiday season
Seneca Regional Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Services’ Annual Christmas Window Contest is open to all community businesses.
Participating businesses are asked to have their decorations up from Dec. 1 to Dec. 27. The winner is to be selected by people from the community and those who visit the community.
The winner is to receive $100 Chamber Cash and a traveling trophy for the year.

First Call For Help to give Chamber Cash to eligible families
First Call For Help is to provide Chamber Cash for income-eligible families of Seneca County, excluding the city of Fostoria, with children ages 11-18 who are attending school and living in the home of a parent or guardian.
Registration is to be open 9-11 a.m. Nov. 29, 2-5 p.m. Nov. 30 and 5-7 p.m. Dec. 1 at 201 S. Washington St. Applicants should bring current proof of income, proof of residency and an ID.

Olde Fashioned Christmas Dec. 2
OAK HARBOR — Oak Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce is to host the Olde Fashioned Christmas Celebration starting at 4:15 p.m. Dec. 2.
Santa is to arrive at the log cabin to light the village Christmas tree at 5 p.m. and visit with children.
After their visit with Santa, children can earn Santa Bucks they can use to shop for two free gift items for their loved ones from several business in downtown.
Also, there will be several businesses open. Those who participate can visit each of the stores and have cards punched to enter a drawing for a $100 gift certificate.

Mohawk historical group to honor first responders’ 125th
SYCAMORE — Mohawk Historical Society is to present a photographic presentation on the history of the Sycamore Fire & Rescue Squad in celebration of the 125th anniversary at 7 p.m. Thursday at the 1910 Eden Town Hall.
Model Train show set for this weekend
NORWALK — Norwalk & Western RR is to host a Model Train Show 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday at the Fremont Community Recreation Complex, 600 St. Joseph St.
The show is to feature model trains of all scales, railroad memorabilia and books, scenery, track supplies and other items for sale.

Santas to descend on Cedar Point for annual run, walk
SANDUSKY — The sixth annual Santa Hustle 5K and Half Marathon is to take place Dec. 10 at Cedar Point Amusement Park.
Participants are to don Santa hats and beards. The 5K and half marathon run/walk, to start and end at Cedar Point, is to begin at 8:30 a.m.
The Santa Hustle is to benefit the Teen Leadership Corps.
Awards and Santa Hustle medals are to be given to the top three male and female finishers in each age group, along with the overall top three finishers.

Have breakfast with Santa Dec. 3
BELLEVUE — St. Gaspar Church, 16209 E. CR 46, is to host Breakfast with Santa 9 a.m.-noon Dec. 3.
The event includes raffles for adults and children and a bake sale.
Tickets are $8 for adults and children 12 years old and younger are $4, with children younger than 3 admitted free.
Menu includes sausage and ham, french toast, quiche, scrambled eggs, a fruit cup, doughnuts, juice, milk, coffee and tea.
Proceeds are to benefit the St. Gaspar Library.
FCH to host Santa, activities Dec. 2
FOSTORIA — Fostoria Community Hospital Auxiliary is to present Breakfast with Santa 9:30-11:30 a.m. Dec. 2 at ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital.
Activities include crafts, games, cookie decorating, holiday bingo, costume dress up, face painting and refreshments.
Santa is to arrive at 10 a.m. with the Fostoria Holiday Parade at 1 p.m.
