Two injured in Hancock County accident

Two people were injured in a three-vehicle accident at SR 12 and TR 212 Saturday.

According to a Hancock County Sheriff’s Office report, Thelma Sparks, 89, of Lebanon, was traveling south on TR 212 in a Chevy Impala. Addie Moore, 76, of Fostoria, was traveling west in a Mercury Milan and Victoria Wurm, 29, of Perrysburg, was stopped at a stop sign on TR 212. After stopping at the stop sign, Sparks pulled into the intersection and into the path of Moore, it states.

The collision caused Moore’s vehicle to spin counter-clockwise and strike Wurm, the report states.

It states Sparks’ vehicle then left the roadway and hit a utility pole.

Sparks and Moore were transported to Blanchard Valley hospital by Hanco EMS and their statuses are unknown, the report states.

Sparks was cited with failure-to-yield at an intersection, the report states.
