2 linked to Viaduct break-in
Two men were arrested in connection to a break-in at Viaduct Bar & Grill.
Tiffin Police Department detectives obtained a search warrant for 9037 CR 23, Alvada, which is the residence of Stephanie M. Hooper, 25; Johnny R. Smith, 24; and Leann N. Young, 25. Seth D. Wilcox, 25, also was present, a release from the police department states.
The search warrant was executed about 10:30 p.m. Monday, according to a police report.
Smith and Wilcox each were charged with safecracking and breaking and entering and were incarcerated at Seneca County Jail, the release states.
A break-in had been reported at Viaduct Bar & Grill, 84 N. Washington St., Monday morning. The business had been entered through the back door overnight, and a large floor safe, wall-mounted coin changer and money were stolen, according to the police department.
It also had been broken into in December.
The search warrant executed in Alvada yielded evidence that was linked to break-ins in Seneca and Wyandot counties, the release states.
Officers also found suspected heroin, marijuana and other drug abuse-related evidence, according to the police department.
