Criminal damaging charges for two men

Two men were charged with criminal damaging after a caller from Expressions II, 2975 W. US 224, reported a disturbance early Friday morning.

According to reports from the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, a caller reported just after 1 a.m. the owner of the building was outside and surrounded by people waiting for a cab. Those people were trying to damage the cameras, the caller said.

According to the report, the Tiffin Police Department and the canine unit were called to assist in locating a person who ran from the business toward Walmart. That person was located in a field, and three people were transported to a local hotel.

Reports also state a person was pepper-sprayed during the incident, but do not indicate who pepper-sprayed the person.

According to Tiffin-Fostoria Municipal Court documents, two people listed on the police report, Aaron S. Conkle, 38, of Massilon, and Cory J. Smetts, 21, of Tallmadge, were charged Friday with criminal damaging.
