Fostoria man charged with domestic violence after stabbing
A Fostoria man was charged with domestic violence Saturday after a woman reported she had been stabbed by her boyfriend.
According to Captain Patrick Brooks of the Fostoria Police Department, Tamara McCarley, 42, of Fostoria, entered Red’s Pizza, 381 Perry St., early Saturday morning and said her boyfriend had stabbed her.
Brooks said McCarley had a small laceration on her cheek when officers responded to Red’s Pizza.
Her boyfriend, Troy Mahon, 40, of Fostoria, admitted to some parts of the altercation when questioned by officers, Brooks said. The injury was a knife wound, he said.
Mahon was charged with domestic violence, a third-degree felony, and is being held at the Seneca County Jail until he is arraigned via video link today with the Fostoria Municipal Court. Mahon was denied bond, Brooks said, pending the arraignment.
Brooks said Mahon has several convictions for domestic violence, and at least one of those convictions involved the current victim.
The alleged assault took place in the 600 block of North Union Street, Brooks said.
He was unaware if McCarley sought medical treatment for her injuries.
