Woodwind Day on tap at ‘Berg
Heidelberg University is offering a special woodwind day 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday in Brenneman Music Hall, 275 E. Perry St.
Participants should bring their instruments to work with members of Heidelberg’s woodwind faculty. Instructors will give tips on reading woodwind choir and chamber music and preparing for solo and ensemble contests.
There is no charge, but a reservation for planning and meal provision is required.

Workshop to focus on oils
Franciscan Earth Literacy Center, 194 St. Francis Ave., is to host an adult education class on essential oils 10 a.m.-noon Saturday.
Presenter Beverly Martin is to explain the nature of essential oil and give insights on how you can help coughs, colds, flu, earaches, headaches and other ailments, build your immune system, relieve stress and anxiety and lift your mood, assist in first aid and pain relief, clean the air in your environment, cleanse your body and naturally support its systems.
