Wrecking company head arrested on theft charges
A man arrested Wednesday after being indicted on a charge of grand theft, a fourth-degree felony, appeared in court Thursday morning where his bond was set at $25,000.
Michael L. Abdoo, 33, of Green Springs, faces the charge for allegedly obtaining control over 548 feet of relay train track without the consent of Tiffin Port Authority and Seneca and Sandusky counties, the owners, according to his indictment. The alleged incident occurred June 4. According to Abdoo’s indictment, the value of the property is $7,500 or more.
Abdoo is the owner of Abdoo Wrecking LLC, a demolition company located in Green Springs.
According to his indictment, if convicted of the charge, he could face up to 18 months in prison and a fine of up to $5,000.
He is scheduled to appear again in court Nov 21.
