Robbers take $400 from Fostoria man

FOSTORIA – Fostoria police are investigating the report of a robbery that occurred on North Poplar Street Tuesday night.

According to Fostoria police reports, a man reported at 10:26 p.m. two men on bicycles robbed him of his cash and then left northbound from the 300 block of North Poplar Street.

The man described the two men as black, in their early 20s and wearing all black and ski masks. He said one rode his bicycle into his garage while the other stood by as a lookout. A small caliber handgun was produced and the man demanded cash, he said. Capt. Patrick Brooks of the Fostoria Police Department said the victim had been working in the garage when the robbery occurred.

According to the report, the man said the amount of money taken was approximately $400.

“The victim gave him some cash and he left,” Brooks said.

The incident remains under investigation, he said.
