Motorcyclist dies after Sunday crash
FOSTORIA – A man who had been involved in a motorcycle crash on US 23, north of Fostoria, Sunday died at the hospital.
A spokesman from the Bowling Green post of State Highway Patrol confirmed the death of Duane Baker, 51, of Fostoria. He said the patrol post was notified of the death at 7:45 p.m. Monday by the Lucas County coroner.
Baker had been taken from the scene of the accident by Life Flight to Toledo. He was driving a 1999 Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound on US 23 when he went off the right side of the road, over-corrected, returned to the road and overturned. He was thrown from the motorcycle, Trooper Tony Scherley said.
Baker was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to a release.
