Kansas festival starts today
Kansas Fire and Rescue’s festival starts at 5 p.m. today. Events will include homemade food served in the kitchen until 9 p.m., children’s games and activities, and bingo. The Rambling Man Band is to take the stage at 7 p.m. and will provide live music near the beer tent until midnight.
The festivities begin again at 9 a.m. Saturday. The third-annual cornhole tournament starts at 10 a.m., with registration beginning at 9 a.m. There is a $30 registration fee. At 11 a.m., the fifth-annual poker run registration begins, with the first bike out at 11 a.m. Entry fee for the poker run is $20 per driver and $15 per passenger, with the last bike in at 5 p.m.
The Don Cessna Memorial Car Show is to take place behind the station at Liberty Park. Registration begins at 4 p.m. with a $10 fee. The car show is to begin at 6 p.m. Mosquito Creek 7 p.m.-midnight in the beer tent. Children’s activities, inflatables and the dunk tank are to start at 5 p.m. Homemade food is to be available in the kitchen from 4-9 p.m.
