Local girl closely monitored after brain surgery
SYCAMORE – Seven-year old Julia Kingseed, of Mohawk Local Schools, has recently undergone brain surgery due to a disease called moyamoya.
Moyamoya is a rare blood vessel disorder where a ring of blood vessels at the base of the brain progressively narrows, causing blood flow to the brain to become blocked.
She will spend 30 days at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus to be closely monitored.
Donations can be made to help support Julia and her family with medical expenses. Donations are to be accepted at First National Bank in McCutchenville, Sycamore and New Riegel.
