Ham radio event open to public

The Seneca Radio Club and the Seneca County Amateur Radio Service are to host the annual field day beginning at 2 p.m. June 22 through 2 p.m. June 23 at Seneca County Fairgrounds. “Hams,” as they are called, are to attempt to contact as many participating amateur radio stations as possible during the 24-hour event.

A special station will be in operation to allow non-licensed visitors to get on the air and experience the thrill of making contacts with other amateurs.
