Garage sale to aid mission
A Friends’ Market Garage Sale is set for 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 9 a.m.-noon Saturday at Elizabeth Schaefer Auditorium on the St. Francis campus.
The sale includes clothing, kids items, pet items, furniture, household and kitchen items, bedding, decorations, toys, electronics, appliances and miscellaneous. Saturday’s sale is donation only.
Donations are being accepted today. Two items not being accepted are TVs (unless flat-screen) and used books, unless they are newer and in good condition.
Volunteers are needed for set-up and for donations of baked goods and food for the lunch stand. All proceeds benefit the Sisters of St. Francis mission in Mexico.
Program at Elmwood
to give health care updates
A presentation on Medicare and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is planned for 10-11:30 a.m. and 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Elmwood at The Shawhan, 54 S. Washington St.

to commemorate child
UPPER SANDUSKY – Bill Webster is planning a second Shailee Jo Webster butterfly release at 5 p.m. July 28 at Stepping Stones Park, Upper Sandusky.
The event is held in memory of Shailee Jo Webster, who died July 10, 2009, from Cri-Du-Chat syndrome, a rare chomosome disorder.
Personalized release envelopes with live butterflies may be purchased in memory of loved ones who have died or are struggling for $5. Each envelope includes a painted lady butterfly, which will be released the day of the event.
