Woman sentenced to house arrest
A woman who injured her boyfriend after stabbing him in the arm with scissors was sentenced to three years of community control last week.
Stephanie A. Apidone, 50, of Tiffin, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault, a fourth-degree felony, and was sentenced by Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Steve Shuff, according to court documents.
A charge of felonious assault was dismissed, court documents state.
Apidone was indicted on the charges for stabbing her boyfriend in the arm with scissors in December, causing him to bleed profusely. The man was transported to Mercy Tiffin Hospital where he was treated and released.
According to court documents, Apidone also was sentenced to serve 90 days in jail.
