Woman faces assault charge for scissor stabbing

The case of a Tiffin woman who allegedly stabbed a man with scissors last month was bound over to Seneca County Common Pleas Court this week.

Stephanie A. Apidone, 49, now faces a felonious assault charge in Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Steve Shuff’s courtroom, according to court documents.

She was arrested Dec. 28 after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend in the arm with scissors. When officers arrived to the apartment, the man was bleeding profusely and was transported to Mercy Tiffin Hospital. He was later treated and released.
