Tiffin reports

Thomas M. Stiger, 33, of Tiffin, was charged with criminal trespass and disorderly conduct Thursday afternoon.

A 300-block Clinton Avenue caller reported Thursday afternoon losing $1,000 in a scam.

Two stolen checks were reported Thursday afternoon to have been cashed in the 2800 block of West SR 18.

An explosion was reported Thursday evening in the area of Plum and West Market streets. According to the report, it appeared some sort of firework or incendiary device had been thrown into grass. It was not located. No damage or injuries were reported.

A caller reported Thursday night a dog in the area of Wall and Homer streets appeared to have been hit. The dog was dragging its back end, the caller said. The dog was transported to the humane society.

A 200-block North Washington Street woman reported Friday morning a man approached her in her yard Thursday and Monday and asked for money.

County reports

A shoplifting incident was reported Friday morning at Corner Drive Thru, 138 S. Broadway St.

A 12000-block West Axline Street woman reported Thursday afternoon kitchen appliances she purchased were missing.

A 1000-block West CR 52 woman reported Friday morning someone tampered with her mail overnight.

Fostoria reports

Delbert R. Smith Jr., 36, of Tiffin, was cited with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and a turn signal violation Monday.

A 400-block West Lytle Street woman reported Friday afternoon a man with identification went to door and wanted to talk to her about being elderly. Police could not locate the man.

A 700-block Lynn Street man reported Friday afternoon someone used his identity.

A vehicle break-in was reported Friday afternoon in the 500 block of East Lytle Street.

A woman reported Friday afternoon someone kicked in a door at a rental property in the 300 block of West Center Street.

Fostoria accident

A caller reported Thursday afternoon a boy riding his bicycle was struck by a vehicle in the 100 block of East Sixth Street. Reports said the boy was not injured and there was no damage to the vehicle or bicycle.


Green Springs fire was called to North Broadway Street Friday afternoon for an alarm activation.
