A caller reported Friday morning a woman was beating a small child with a flip-flop shoe in a parking lot in the 2000 block of West SR 18. Police were unable to locate the woman.
A first-block South SR 4 man reported Thursday night his cell phone was stolen.
A man was arrested and cited with operating a vehicle while intoxicated following a traffic stop early Friday morning in the area of North SR 101 and North CR 15. He also was cited with speed. According to the report, the Tiffin Police canine was called to assist at the traffic stop. No contraband was located.
A fight between two people was reported Thursday afternoon in the area of East South and South Poplar streets. A man was arrested on a warrant out of Seneca County.
An officer was requested Thursday afternoon at ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital for a dog bite victim. A dog was deemed vicious by the Seneca County Dog Warden’s Office, according to the report.
A woman reported Thursday evening that while she was walking past a 700-block Lynn Street residence, a man with a cane came after her. A man was given a warning for disorderly conduct. A man later reported that in the same block, a man pointed his cane at him and acted like he was shooting him.
A caller reported Thursday night a man with a black bag was hiding in trees in the 400 block of South Main Street. According to the report, a man was arrested. An open container of alcohol was found in the man’s possession.
A 100-block East Crocker Street woman requested to speak to an officer Thursday night about someone throwing Kool Aid in her face.
An officer was requested early Friday morning at ProMedica Fostoria Community hospital for a patient who was acting up and punched glass, damaging a hand.

Lisa S. Sours, 44, of Tiffin, was cited with failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead following a non-injury accident Thursday afternoon at Washington and Madison streets.
A vehicle struck a pole Thursday night at Huron Street and SR 18. A person was transported to Mercy Tiffin Hospital. According to reports from the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, the driver had no visible injuries and the pole had no visible damage. Further details were unavailable Friday evening.
