Lauren Beach, 19, of Sycamore, was charged with theft Tuesday night for an incident at Walmart, 2801 W. SR 18. A juvenile was released to a parent and also was to be charged with theft, according to the police report.
Ryan A. Smith, 26, of Tiffin, was cited with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and failure to reinstate Tuesday night.
Justin P. Latona, 23, of Tiffin, was charged with disorderly conduct early Wednesday morning.
The manager of Gold Bond apartments, 154 S. Washington St., reported Wednesday morning homeless people were sleeping in the stairwell at the rear of the building. The manager requested the people be told to move on.
A woman in the 2000 block of East TR 122 reported Tuesday evening her wallet was stolen while she was at work.
A woman reported Tuesday evening she lost her iPhone at Kaubisch Memorial Public Library and she used an application to locate it at a 100 block Elm Street address. A juvenile returned the phone to the woman, according to the report.
A person went to the station Tuesday evening to report an assault occurred at Fostoria High School, 1001 Park Ave., after school hours. A call was placed Wednesday evening to Capt. Patrick Brooks of the Fostoria Police Department for more information.
A man reported Tuesday night his wife contacted him and told him someone tried to kick in a door at their 400-block West Lytle Street residence. No one had attempted to force entry, but did jiggle the door handle, according to the report.
A caller from Heritage IGA, 479 E. Market St., reported Tuesday afternoon a driver ran into the building. According to the report, a woman’s foot slipped off of the brake pedal and the vehicle then went over a parking bumper and struck the building. No damage was reported to the building and only minor damage was reported to the vehicle.
Chad M. Shively, 35, of Gibsonburg, was cited with improper backing following an accident Wednesday in the first block of Clay Street.
Tiffin firefighters were called to 35 Webster St. Tuesday night for a gas leak.
