Tiffin reports

A juvenile was arrested Monday afternoon after a first-block Morningside Drive caller reported their son had been missing since Saturday. A disorderly conduct charge had been requested for the boy.

A 200-block South Monroe Street caller reported Monday night they found footprints in the snow leading to the porch and garage.

County reports

A 4000-block South SR 53 woman reported Monday afternoon she found a snake in used furniture she purchased. She said she had been resting when she felt something crawling on her. Deputies checked the house and were unable to locate a snake.

A break-in was reported Monday afternoon in the 5000 block of North SR 635. The homeowner was unsure if anything was missing.

County accident

Andrea L. Elchert, 25, of Tiffin, was cited with failure to control following a one-vehicle accident March 16 on TR 47.

Fostoria reports

A 300-block South Poplar Street person reported Monday evening a TV was missing from the residence.

A 300-block South Poplar Street woman reported Monday evening a window was busted out on her mother’s van.

A caller from Fostoria Industries Inc., 1200 N. Main St., reported a break-in Tuesday morning. A large amount of copper was taken.


Bascom fire and EMS were called to Meadowlake Drive Tuesday afternoon for a carbon monoxide alarm.

Clinton firefighters were called to East SR 18 Tuesday afternoon for a fire alarm.

Bettsville firefighters were called to Washington Street for a false alarm.


Tiffin EMS had two squad runs Monday afternoon and one squad run Monday night.

Republic fire and EMS had a squad run Tuesday morning.
