State Farm Insurance office opens

A new State Farm Insurance office opened at 2495 W. Market St., Suite B Wednesday.

A new State Farm Insurance office opened in Tiffin Wednesday.

Nicole Miller, owner of the new State Farm Insurance office at 2495 W. Market St., Suite B, said she was born and raised in Tiffin and has been in the city her whole life. The past nine years she spent managing Kay Jewelers in Findlay, Toledo and Sandusky, she said.

Miller said when she knew she wanted to make a career change, she wanted to do something where she could help people.

“I truly enjoy helping people and anytime people need help I want to be able to help them,” she said.

Miller said when she came across State Farm Insurance, she discovered that helping others is really “what they bill themselves on.” She said she realized that was their focus and is ultimately what made her choose State Farm.

“They’re really for

community involvement…,” Miller said. “That’s probably the second biggest thing I liked about State Farm. Getting to be involved in Tiffin and the people and different community events that are in town is great.”

She said in order to open the office, she had to get a job with State Farm and the application process took about five months. Miller said she had to get state licensing in each of the insurances that the company provides before being selected for the job. She was selected by State Farm to be an agent on October 5.

Miller said the office is able to provide all the insurance coverage and banking State Farm covers as well as financial guidance.

According to a release, Auto, Home, Business, Property, Life and Health Insurance are offered as well as banking. State Farm and its affiliates are the largest providers of auto and home insurance in the United States and commercial auto insurance, along with coverage for renters, business owners, boats and motorcycles, is available, the release states.

Miller said a ribbon cutting is scheduled to take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the office. A meet and greet, office tour and luncheon are to follow and the event is to last until about 1 p.m., she said. To get to the office, people should walk down the sidewalk at the right of the building and go through the red door.

The office is to be open 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and by appointment on Saturday.
