Lara Houk and Joseph Mossbruger exchanged wedding vows at 4:30 p.m. July 28, 2012, at Trinity United Church of Christ, Tiffin. The Rev. Louis Rick Dorsch was officiant during the double-ring ceremony. A reception followed at Pioneer Mill of Tiffin.

Lara is the daughter of Stephen and Sharlene Houk of Tiffin.

Joseph is the son of Robert and Joy Mossbruger of Westlake.

Lara, given in marriage by her father, wore a white strapless, elongated taffeta mermaid gown with a corset back. The gown was accented with crystal beading, sequins, re-embroidered lace and metallic accents and featured a lace bordered pick-up skirt and chapel-length train. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of lavender and white roses accented with dark purple calla lilies.

Jennifer Starnes of Findlay was her sister’s matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Christina Yarian of North Olmsted, sister of the groom; and Amber Middaugh of Sandusky and Vonnie Hartman of Tiffin, friends of the bride. They wore eggplant satin, strapless floor-length dresses with lace-up backs and crystal beading. They carried hand-tied, colonial bouquets of white roses, green button pomps, green hypericum and seeded eucalyptus.

Robert Mossbruger Jr. of North Olmsted was his brother’s best man. Groomsmen were William Mossbruger and John Mossbruger, both of North Olmsted, and Michael Mossbruger of Lakewood, brothers of the groom.

Lara is human resources relationship manager at The RightThing Inc. She is a 2001 graduate of Columbian High School and a 2005 graduate of Bowling Green State University.

Joseph is a 2001 graduate of North Olmsted High School and attended Bowling Green State University. He is a security officer for NASA Glenn Research Center, Cleveland.

Honoring the bride with showers were her mother and sister in May 2012 and the groom’s mother and sister in June 2012.

A rehearsal dinner was at Reino’s Party Room, Tiffin.

Following a honeymoon trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the newlyweds reside in Cleveland.
