Antique vehicles getting show Saturday at Sauder Village
ARCHBOLD – Antique car collectors from throughout the Midwest will be meeting Saturday for the annual Antique Car Gathering at Sauder Village. More than 100 antique automobiles have registered for the event, including a 1921 Model T Roadster Truck, 1931 Chevy Coupe, 1912 Overland and a 1928 Whippet.
Guests can view automobiles of days gone by and have a chance to ride in one of them.
“While many car shows consider any automobile more than 25 years old to be an antique, our show requires every car to be older than 1942,” said Kim Krieger, Sauder Village spokeswoman. “Thus, the cars at the Sauder Village show will be from a much earlier time period, with some cars dating back to the early 1900s.”
Throughout the day, guests will be able to see the cars and visit with car owners. Many exhibitors plan to give demonstrations and will be available to answer questions about their vehicles. In the afternoon, there will be a special drawing for one adult to win a chance to drive a vintage car.
Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Admission is $16 for adults, $10 for ages 6-16 and free for 5 and younger.
Sauder Village is at 22611 SR 2, Archbold. Go to www.saudervillage.org for more information.
