K of C offering Lenten meals

ATTICA – Lent begins Wednesday, and the Attica Knights of Columbus are to serve a dinner of fish or chicken fingers from 5:30-7 p.m. Friday.

Cost is $9 for adults and $6 for children, all-you-can-eat. Carry-outs are to be available.

Euchre card party scheduled

NEW RIEGEL – The Catholic Order of Foresters is sponsoring a euchre card party beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday at the American Legion club room in New Riegel.

Admission is $6, which includes cards and food.

No reservations are necessary, and walk-ins are welcome.

Senior center selling, engraving bricks and pavers

Allen Eiry Center is selling engraved bricks and pavers to help fund the purchase of a new bus for the senior center.

Pavers are $100 and bricks are $50. The donor can choose what is to be engraved on the paver or brick. These are to be placed in the walkway to the main entry of the facility.

In other news, the center’s board of directors approved a proposal to keep the center open on Presidents Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Columbus Day and Veterans Day. The center is to be closed on Good Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
